Deb's Birthday

My wonderful mother-in-law had a birthday yesterday! I planned on making a pretty little cake but then decided to do something that was DEB. I tried (but failed) to make it look like the spines of all of her favorite books around the bottom of the cake and the top had bookmarks and the names of the main characters in the books. Anyone who knows Deb knows that she is always reading. She is so much fun to talk books with...I love her!

Sneaky, sleepy girls

Lila and Hali hid in Abby's play pen behind the couch in the basement while Crea was watching a movie the other night. When he finished the movie he found 2 sneaky little girls sound asleep.

Corn!

We have TONS of corn this year! I don't go in the field to pick it because I start iching and get a rash but I am a great shucker! The first evening that we were having corn Abby went nuts for it! We had so much fun watching her...the girls just couldn't stop laughing.

Abby is Walking!

This is one of the many videos we took of Abby's first week walking. Crea took it one day when he came home for lunch and saw our new little walker attempting to sit on this bowl....enjoy! I dare you not to laugh!

Swimming Lessons

Lila had her first year of swimming lessons at SUU and she advanced to level 2. Hali was so good to sit and watch her swim every day. She will be able to start next year when she is 4!

Hawaiian Dresses

Chace and Rachel gave the girls Hawaiian dresses for Christmas and they loved wearing them this summer.

The good ship Christensen

Several months ago we made this ship to sail in the bathtub for our FHE and it sat on top of our entertainment center since then because the girls could not stand the thought of throwing it away. I finally decided it had to be done but Hali saw me and screamed like I had cut her arm off. In an effort to calm her down I told her we would take a picture so we could make a new one just like it for another FHE....and these are the pictures of our little ship. Hali was happy while we were taking the picture but she resumed her crying when it was taken outside and put in the garbage. Lila stepped in, distracted her with a lot of tickling and the ship was forgotten. We love our girls!

One Hot Day

Crea came home from the farm one hot day and wanted to take the girls swimming so off we went! We hadn't been to the Washington Community Center yet and it was a great place for little kids!
Hali both loved and hated it....Lila, Tori, and Kindy never wanted to leave....and Abby had fun playing and watching the other girls!

Corinna's Birthday

Here is my latest attempt to be creative. My beautiful niece Corinna turned 15 on the 9th and this was her gift from our family....it only took me 10 hours....yeah I'm really slow.

Abby is 1!

Our little Abby turned one! We had lots of Norton's and Christensen's and we celebrated it with Avery who turned 2! We are so blessed to have such sweet little girls in our family!

Enterprise 24th of July Rodeo...another tradition

This years 24th was fun but we were all sad that Crea didn't rope.
